Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D review |
We have had the opportunity to get our hands on a pre-production sample of the new Konica Minolta Dynax 5D digital SLR camera, in America named as Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D. The new model is the result of the popular Dynax 7D model that stands for advanced technology and high performance. The Konica Minolta Dynax 5D is the little brother that will continue the story of the first Konica Minolta digital SLR camera that was introduced last year. The Dynax 5D will offer greater ease of use, but this time packed in an even smaller and lighter design. And indeed, the new Konica Minolta Dynax 5D we have in our hands is lighter and more compact than its big brother. Not long after the Dynax 7D was introduced readers around the world were almost demanding an entry-level model. Today, Konica Minolta fulfils the world-wide demand by introducing the Konica Minolta Dynax 5D digital SLR.

| Nikon Coolpix S1 review |
With the design of the Nikon Coolpix S1, Nikon entered the world of design again. The design is absolutely convincing and a real eye-catcher. And the emphasis on user friendliness and the user's convenience completes it. The Nikon Coolpix S1 is a suitable digital camera for those who want to take pictures in an easy way, and who want to take a camera with them everywhere. The high resolution images of 5 Megapixels ensure excellent prints and the innovative and efficient way of in-camera image editing adds to the impressive end result. I consider the Nikon Coolpix S1 as a successful digital camera that lies at the roots of a new line of Nikon digital cameras as far as I'm concerned!

| FujiFilm FinePix Z1 review |
The Fujifilm FinePix Z1 digital camera has a beautiful appearance. Nicely finished matte black of solid quality which certainly won't give you a 'plastic' feeling when holding the camera. Despite the stiff design, without handgrip, the Fujifilm Z1 lies comfortably in your hand. The large LCD monitor on the back of the camera makes it possible to share your images with others without having to fight each other off to catch a glimpse of a small screen. The monitor works really well as a viewfinder and we don't miss the optical viewfinder at all. The status of the Fujifilm FinePix Z1 digital camera is not ready for production yet, not yet anyway at the time we had the camera in our possession, but the first impressions are extremely positive.

| Canon EOS 350D review |
Canon EOS 350D As a bolt from the blue Canon introduced an affordable digital SLR camera back in 2003. This way Canon stole a march on arch-competitor Nikon, who immediately struck back with the D70. Beginning of this year Canon introduced the successor of the Canon EOS 300D, conform their policy of bringing a new model on the market every year and a half. The Canon EOS 350D is not an improved version but it is a totally newly developed camera. The sensor is identical to the one on the Canon EOS 20D; just its size is somewhat smaller. Other internal features like the processor have been upgraded. But the most striking part of course is the appearance of the body. The Canon 350D has visibly shrunk and its appearance is so much more beautiful than its predecessor.

| Nikon D50 Review |
| The first time I took the Nikon D50 in my hands it immediately felt comfortable and like I would have expected a Nikon body to feel. I mean no plastic feeling, light weight, but not too light, easy access, intelligent software built-in with lots of 'giving difficult out of your hands' features, built-in flash but also possible to use external flash, manual control options to get more out of it when desired, etc. Personally I like the Nikon D50 a lot, it just gives you the right combination for an excellent price. For me as a photographer I really like the idea of getting an entry-level product to your consumer, but it's not a product that is very limited for its task. Nikon gives their consumers a product that will help them understand more about digital photography without having to learn, just play with it. A great combo!" |

| Nikon D70s Review |
The Nikon D70s feels comfortable. The body has a good grip and its ergonomics are excellent. The previous model was the big success of Nikon for 2004, the Nikon D70s will without a doubt get a warm welcome. The 6.1 Megapixel effective Nikon DX format CCD has been improved. Elements that caused extra noise during heat have been eliminated, so we expect better noise ratios with the new Nikon D70s. The improved image sensor features a wide dynamic range with lots of details ready to be blown up to large proportions. The controls on the Nikon D70s are easy to find. There is no need for searching and the operation is simply smooth. The excellent clear menus are to be navigated via the clear and larger LCD display. To me, the easy access proves that although some may find minor updates not that important they could make a difference of day and night to create an accessible digital camera. The Nikon D70s for sure is user-friendly!

Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z5 Review
The Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z5 is a well-organised camera; also novices will soon learn how to operate the camera. The photographer who likes to stay in charge and prefers optimum control will find some difficulties here. A lot depends on the menu, which is not always the fastest way of adjusting the camera's settings. An extra settable quick button would be warmly welcomed. All in all the Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z5 is an excellent digital camera that is versatile applicable. Certainly an ideal camera to take on holiday with you. The camera is compact and can be used on many occasions. And with a budget friendly price to it, it makes the Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z5 a very attractive digital camera.
